MATES  in the Community

Throughout 2021-22, MATES & MATES FC have been helping several good causes, and have done so via two ways:

1) Accepting Donations of goods at any of our events,

2) or by fundraising money at specific events, via GoFundMe or in collection pots.

Launched in March 2023, MATES in the Community has now expanded and is our green pledge to the community as well as how we help others. Below is how we do it!...

See below the organisations we have been supporting over the past two years, and will be continuing to support in 2023!

MATES

We at MATES are a not for profit community interest company, run by volunteers. Any donations to our GoFundMe all go directly to helping us carry on providing events, awareness and support to the community

MATES FC

MATES FC is a community football club that provides football with no commitment to get those that have struggled with poor mental health back out of the house and out onto the pitch again and be a new community of people around you. We are run by volunteers and every penny donated will go to help us with our continued growth and support of our community

One Love Rescue Crete

One Love Rescue is a small animal rescue in Crete, run by three volunteers that work tirelessly to help save and rehome the stray dogs of Crete. They rely completely on people's donations. We operate MATES in Crete and Onle Love is in the small village we are based in and means a lot to us. We want to do all we can to help this incredible and deserving cause and these beautiful animals

CALM - Campaign Against Living Misurably

MATES FC & MATES Running Club are both part of CALM's Collective, using sport to do all we can to spread awareness and help boost positive mental health and support those that need it. Throughout the year we hold events to raise money for CALM such as 'The Lost Hours Walk' and through some charity football matches. We are proud to work with the incredible CALM and will always do all we can to help them help those at their lowest
